Andrea is Director for Submissions & Author Service at Springer Nature. He joined the company in 2011, and has held various editorial roles including being Chief Editor at Nature Physics for 8 years. Andrea obtained his PhD in statistical physics at University College London (UCL), and undertook postdoctoral work investigating the dynamics of low-dimensional magnetic systems at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in France and at Uppsala University in Sweden.
